Gunslingers are actually really good in pvp. Scoundrels are mostly close range classes (they can heal as well), but there also is a close-range spec foir Gunslingers – but Gunslingers cannot heal at all. Powertech gets additional talents that improve railshot that mercs do not get. Because if you plan to go pyro, powertech is much better for it.
